Innovative energy contract

The Municipality of Pula is being supported in the conception of an innovative energy-related tender.

In particular, the project for the promotion of new markets for innovation in public administration focuses on the innovative production of thermal and electrical energy for municipal infrastructures, funded by the POR Sardegna FESR 2014–2020 Axis I — Action 1.3.1.

The management of public buildings providing services to citizens, such as schools or sports facilities, is characterized by significant energy consumption.

The main identified criticality is related to the high costs of energy consumption needed to provide services to the community, such as:

heating and cooling of public buildings imminent introduction of electric vehicles into the municipal fleet, with the consequent need to ensure supply to charging stations. The high costs are due both to the price of energy and to an improvable management of energy efficiency.

The need to introduce energy policies to reduce consumption generated by the provision of services to the community has become a priority, as well as the idea of maximizing the use of the energy provided by the territory, particularly the strong solar radiation.
