Analysis and redesign of the municipal organization

The overall reorganization of the municipality was carried out through organizational analysis, revision of the staffing levels, and drafting of the office organization regulation.

Analysis and redesign of the municipal organization, in summary, was the project undertaken for the Municipality of Fontaneto d’Agogna.

The project involved the comprehensive reorganization of the municipality through organizational analysis, revision of staffing levels, and drafting of the office organization regulation.

The organizational analysis was conducted using a methodology commonly adopted in the private sector.

An analysis of the current state (As-is) was carried out through interviews with all the municipality’s employees, where the organization, internal processes and procedures, communication methods, and climate analysis were examined.

The following aspects were then explored:

• Overall workload, also considering the upcoming retirement of some employees in the next two years
• Effectiveness of the current distribution of responsibilities among different departments
• Analysis of the main critical issues and organizational needs

The project concluded with recommendations to the Mayor for:

• Organizational interventions (creation of new services and/or mergers)
• Proposals for updating the organizational model
• Proposal for a new staffing level
